Celebrating Charlie Cohen's New Collection with Alpro Go On!

In mid-June I was lucky enough to be invited over to London by Alpro with Rosemary Mac Cabe, LoveLauren, Louise Cooney, JesskaDenise and a host of UK bloggers along with TV presenter, DJ and fitness expert AJ Odudu.

The event was run in conjunction with Charlie Cohen to launch Alpro’s new Go On soya yoghurts with higher protein content, ideal for a cleaner option for your cheat meal or as a dessert perhaps! These yoghurts taste quite light but are thicker in texture (kind of like Greek Yoghurt!) but sit on top of a lovely fruity mix. I don’t include a huge amount of soya in my diet but it’s nice to include plant based protein to mix things up in your diet and keep our bodies guessing! Also, how PRETTY is the display below?!

The event was held in a trendy little art gallery in Soho in London and I got to sample some yummy healthy treats like beetroot crisps (dear sweet GOD!) and of course the delicious yoghurts on display. I was also lucky enough to get my hair braided by the lovely team at The Braid Bar in Selfridges. They made me feel like a pampered princess- you can see the masterpiece below, tagged by the lovely Rose who took care of me 🙂

Alpro carried out some pretty interesting research before this launch and found out that over a third of people across the UK and Ireland hadn’t been on holiday in over 12 months. I’m a real advocate of letting my hair down and getting away from it all, and would recommend to anyone who can, to take a few chill days, be it just down the road on a staycation, to an Aunt’s house in the countryside or of course a few days in the magical sunshine. It just really helps us de-stress, re-charge and get away from the rat race, albeit for a few days!

I was lucky enough to stay at St Martin’s Lane and was absolutely spoiled with the most amazing room, gym access to the gym next door (which I visited with Rosemary TWICE- killing ourselves on the stepper bluagh!) and can honestly say I cannot WAIT to venture back to the oasis of calm that is St. Martin’s Lane Hotel. Oh and the lighting is a dab handy at helping the abs peak out a little more- LOVE!
