What Is an Affiliate Link?

An affiliate link is a retailer web address that contains extra information identifying GymBunny as the referring website. When a reader follows that link and completes a qualifying action, usually a purchase, the retailer or affiliate platform may credit GymBunny with a commission.

• The retailer pays the commission, not the reader.
• The transaction itself remains between the reader and the retailer.
• Not every click, and not every purchase, necessarily generates a commission.

GymBunny aims to mark direct affiliate links using the attributes rel="nofollow sponsored noopener" and target="_blank".

• sponsored identifies the commercial relationship to search engines.
• nofollow provides an additional qualification alongside it.
• noopener improves security when a link opens in a new browser tab.
• target=”_blank” opens the retailer’s page in a new tab, so the GymBunny page stays open.
