Most walking pads in our September check were already shown with large “up to X% off” labels. That makes the price you actually pay more useful than the percentage.
The Irish “prior price” rule. According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), a price reduction announcement must show the lowest price the item was sold for in the 30 days before the promotion, and the discount must be based on that price. - Write down today’s price for the exact model and version (standard or folding) you want.
- Check the same variant in November. Colour, handrail or mat options can change the price.
- Compare the checkout total, not the percentage badge.
- Look for the prior price on the offer. If it is missing or looks higher than what you saw earlier, treat the discount with caution.
- Take a screenshot of the offer and the product page before you pay.
