The differences that matter

The X21 folds in two stages and stands upright, which KingSmith lists as a footprint under 0.16 m². The R2 folds once and lies flat at 16.2 cm high, which suits sliding it under a sofa or bed. Measure your space before choosing: a tall cupboard suits the X21, a low gap suits the R2.
Weight: 36 kg or 43 kg
Neither is light, but the R2 is 7 kg lighter. If the machine has to move between rooms, or upstairs, that difference is noticeable. Both arrive as large, heavy boxes.
Controls
Both use the KS Fit app and a remote. The R2 adds FootSense, which changes speed from foot position, while the X21 has a control panel on the handrail and NFC pairing for Android phones.
