What stands out
It folds in half
The R2’s deck folds in the middle, taking it from 145 cm to 100 cm long and 16 cm high. That is short enough to stand upright in a corner or slide under a bed or sofa with enough clearance. Most treadmills that reach 12 km/h either do not fold or fold upright at full length, so this is the R2’s main reason to exist.
At 36 kg it is heavier than a basic walking pad, so plan for a two-handed lift if you fold it away every day.
Desk walking and jogging on one machine
With the handrail lowered, the R2 slides under a standing desk like a walking pad. Raise the handrail and it becomes a compact treadmill for jogging up to 12 km/h. The 120 × 44 cm running area is longer and wider than most walking pads, which helps once you speed up.
There is no incline, and the 1.25 HP motor figure is modest for regular running, so think of it as a walk-and-jog machine rather than a running treadmill.

Walking at 4 km/h measured 65 to 70 dB, at or above KingSmith’s advertised “under 65 dB”. In an apartment, some sound and vibration reached the room below, so a mat is worth adding. Phone apps are approximate, so use these figures to compare rather than as exact values.

Can you run on the WalkingPad R2?
You can jog on it. KingSmith lists a top speed of 12 km/h, which suits jogging and easy runs, but the 1.25 HP motor figure and lack of incline make it a walk-and-jog machine rather than a running treadmill.

KingSmith lists the folded size as 100 × 72 × 16.2 cm, down from 145.2 cm long unfolded.
Does the WalkingPad R2 have incline?
No. The R2 is flat. For incline, look at walking pads with a manual or automatic incline.

How loud is the WalkingPad R2?
In our readings, the motor measured 62 dB at idle and 65 to 70 dB while walking at 4 km/h. Through an apartment floor we measured 42 to 48 dB, plus some vibration.
