Sperax 4-in-1 Vibration Walking Pad Review: Safety Warning and Alternatives
The Sperax 4-in-1 combines an under-desk walking pad with a vibration massage mode. In April 2026 the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) told owners of several Sperax walking pads to stop using them. This review explains what the warning covers, what it means for Irish buyers and which alternatives are worth checking instead.

A summary of the warning published by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission on 16 April 2026.
What the warning says
- Models named: Sperax Pro, Q1, RM-01 and RM-02 walking pads and treadmills, described as black with red trim.
- Hazards: the CPSC says the machines can suddenly change speed or stop abruptly, and can overheat.
- Reports: 201 reports of speed control and stability problems, including at least 66 falls or injuries, plus 573 reports of overheating, fire or thermal incidents and four reports of minor burns.
- Recall: the CPSC states that the importer, trading as Sperax, refused to agree to an acceptable recall.
- Advice to owners: stop using the products immediately, dispose of them, and do not sell or give them away.
Does the warning affect Irish buyers
The CPSC warning covers products sold in the United States through Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Newegg and eBay. It is not an Irish or EU recall. However, a Sperax 4-in-1 vibration walking pad listed on Amazon UK is described as model RM02, and RM-02 is one of the model numbers named by the CPSC. GymBunny could not confirm whether units sold to UK or Irish customers are identical to the US units.
Until Sperax or a European safety authority publishes clearer information, we think the cautious choice is not to buy one.

What the Sperax 4-in-1 vibration walking pad is
Sperax marketed the 4-in-1 as a walking pad and vibration plate in one: a walking mode, a faster jogging mode, a work mode for standing desks and a vibration massage mode with four intensity levels. It was aimed at people who wanted a slim under-desk walking pad plus a recovery feature, without buying two machines.

Why we do not recommend it
- Named models are covered by a CPSC stop-use warning for fall, burn and fire hazards.
- No acceptable recall was agreed, according to the CPSC.
- Several similar models with different specifications make it easy to buy the wrong one.
- No established Irish retailer, warranty or support route that we could confirm.

If the vibration feature was the main draw
A separate vibration plate and a separate walking pad take more space than one combined unit, but each is designed for a single job. Home Fitness Code sells standalone vibration plates on its Irish store.

The Vibration Plate C1 with LED lighting was listed at €99.99 (previously €149.99) when we checked on 16 September 2026. The version without LED lighting was listed at €89.99 but showed as unavailable, and the entry-level Vibration Plate F1 was sold out.

Is the Sperax walking pad safe to use?
In April 2026 the US CPSC warned consumers to stop using Sperax Pro, Q1, RM-01 and RM-02 walking pads and treadmills because of fall, burn and fire hazards. If you own one of these models, follow that advice and contact the seller.
Has the Sperax walking pad been recalled in Ireland?
The CPSC warning applies to the United States, and we did not find an Irish recall notice at the time of checking. Because a UK listing describes the vibration walking pad as model RM02, one of the named models, we recommend not buying it until clearer European safety information is available.
Can I still buy the Sperax 4-in-1 in Ireland?

What is a good alternative to the Sperax vibration walking pad?
For walking, the Home Fitness Code Q2 Pro is a compact under-desk walking pad sold on the Irish store from €99.99 (checked 16 September 2026). If you want vibration training too, a separate vibration plate such as the Home Fitness Code Vibration Plate C1 is an option.
Is a vibration walking pad better than a normal walking pad?
Not necessarily. A combined unit saves space, but the vibration function is secondary to the walking pad. If you have room for two machines, separate products designed for each job are usually easier to compare and support.
